‘Azerbaijan – Sport in Focus’: Highlights

Azerbaijan’s forthcoming hosting of the inaugural European Games in June was placed firmly in the spotlight at the opening of a new exhibition in London’s prestigious OXO Gallery. Opened on 27 February 2015, the Azerbaijan – Sport in Focus exhibition showcases 65 out of 300 photographs from over 50 photographers in 10 countries submitted for a competition of the same name. The exhibition and competition were organised by TEAS with the support of the Baku 2015 European Games Organising Committee (BEGOC).

The exhibition moved to the French National Museum of Sports in Nice on 12 March, and will now tour Europe.

Azerbaijan – Sport in Focus opening (Nice)

On 12 March, TEAS France and the National Museum of Sport in Nice organised the opening of the photographic exhibition Azerbaijan – Sport in Focus, supported by the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) and Baku 2015 European Games Organising Committee (BEGOC). To be hosted from 12–28 June, the inaugural European Games will feature 20 sports – 16 of which are Olympic disciplines. It is thought that more than 6000 athletes from over 50 countries will come to Baku.
